Hypersensitivity to secobarbital, amobarbital, or any component of the formulation; CNS depression; marked liver impairment; latent porphyria; pregnancy

<1%: Agranulocytosis, dermatitis, exfoliative, hallucinations, hypotension, megaloblastic anemia, respiratory depression, skin rash, Stevens-Johnson syndrome, thrombocytopenia, thrombophlebitis
