Streamlined Breast Care Services in New All-Digital Environment

Comprehensive screening, rapid diagnosis and treatment for women with all types of conditions of the breast now has a new, state-of-the-art home in the Breast Center at the University of Maryland Medical Center.

Easily accessible on the first floor in the medical center’s Weinberg Atrium, the Breast Center houses all Breast Imaging -- mammography, ultrasound, and MRI -- using all-digital imaging technologies for screening and early detection. In addition, the Breast Center now incorporates our long-established Breast Evaluation and Treatment Program, which provides evaluation and genetic counseling for women who are at high risk for breast cancer, as well as evaluation and treatment for non-malignant disorders such as breast pain.
