Flow cytometry technology continues to improve and is highly technical. Errors in sample acquisition and/or data analysis are common among poorly trained users and can lead to misleading and/or unreliable data. Our staff is committed to providing training and education for all users.
Training sessions are available (one on one) in the Flow Cytometry laboratory for users who wish to learn the specifics of data acquisition and data analysis using established protocols. New users are typically given an orientation to cover a broad scope of topics including discussions of relevant flow cytometry applications.
Users who want additional training or investigators new to cytometry are encouraged to contact the Flow Cytometry facility at 410-328-3915 for personal assistance.
It is our long term goal to collaborate with investigators developing new methods and protocols using flow cytometry, and to stay current with leading edge applications of flow technology. All investigators are encouraged to share their ideas and/or needs with the program director of the facility.
