Trilogy

The Next Generation Radiation Therapy for Cancer

The TrilogyTM System linear accelerator is the latest technology available in radiation treatment for cancer.

Trilogy combines the capabilities of other external beam radiation technologies -- including Cyberknife, Tomotherapy, and Novalis -- all in one state-of-the-art machine.

The University of Maryland Marlene and Stewart Greenebaum Cancer Center's (UMGCC) Department of Radiation Oncology was the first academic medical center in the region to introduce the fully-integrated TrilogyTM System.

RapidArc Enhances Already Powerful Trilogy Technology

Since the introduction of Trilogy in 2006, scientists at the University of Maryland have worked with Varian Medical Systems, makers of Trilogy, to develop a further refinement of the Trilogy System known as RapidArc. Trilogy with RapidArc technology now provides patients with the fastest, most precise targeted radiation therapy available.
