The WPCC Clinics are community mental health clinics that provide comprehensive mental health treatment and case management services primarily to residents of Baltimore City. Multidisciplinary mental health teams provide these services to children, adolescents and adults.
The clinic has an active caseload of approximately 1450 patients of which approximately 400 are children/adolescents.
The clinics operate two sites: the Fayette Street Clinic in the WPCC and the
Carruthers Clinic, located at University Specialty Hospital.

Adult Teams
Both sites assist individuals 18 and older with a wide range of mental health problems. Approximately 65-75 percent of the individuals served are seriously and persistently mentally ill. Individual, group and family therapies are available, as well as medication management, case management, and substance abuse services. Caseload sizes are approximately 1:75 for clinical staff and 1:275-300 for medical staff.
Continuous Care Team
The Continuous Care Team (CCT) is a specialized intensive psychiatric and case management service designed to target adult patients who require services and coordinated community mental health care of intermediate intensity. The CCT works to reduce the incidence of psychiatric hospitalizations and to improve the patient’s ability to function in the community by providing consistent outreach and coordination of care in all aspects of treatment. The CCT provides off-site clinical services, as needed, and 24 on-call by beeper. Caseload sizes are approximately 1:25-30 for clinical staff and 1:250 for medical staff.
Child and Adolescent Teams
These teams are located at each site providing psychiatric treatment to children 5- 18 years of age and their families. Services include individual, play, group and family therapies, medication evaluation, socialization groups, and consultation with schools and other community agencies involved with the child. Substance abuse evaluations and treatment are also available. Caseload sizes are approximately 1:55-60 for clinical staff and 1:225 for medical staff.
