About Us

A recognized leader in the treatment of GI diseases, the University of Maryland Digestive Diseases Center offers a highly specialized, patient-centered approach to the evaluation, diagnosis and treatment of patients with diseases of the gastrointestinal tract and liver. The Digestive Diseases Center provides the highest level of comprehensive services for both adults and children --- including the latest medical and surgical treatment options -- as well as innovations in screening and diagnostic technologies.

A state-of-the-art endoscopy laboratory that provides a full range of endoscopic, diagnostic and therapeutic treatment options.
One of the most technologically advanced operating rooms/surgical facilities in the U.S.
Cutting-edge cancer facilities, including a new outpatient center -- the Roslyn and Leonard Stoler Pavilion -- that provides one-stop cancer care.
Other convenient outpatient centers like the Digestive Health Center.

Our physicians are pioneers in their fields of expertise and have innovated many new treatment options, such as the Cryospray ablation procedure to treat Barrett’s esophagus.

Our physicians also train future physician leaders, who will be on the forefront of GI disease management in their respective areas of specialty. We will continue our research endeavors to advance the practice of our center and the industry.
