Biography:Benjamin Philosophe is Director of the University of Maryland Medical Center's Division of Transplantation and the director of liver transplantation. He received his medical
degree from Boston University and completed his
surgical residency at Barnes Hospital in
St. Louis, Missouri. Philosophe was a transplant
fellow at both University of Toronto and the
University of Maryland. His expertise is in liver
transplantation. Philosophe has a special
clinical interest in signal transduction defects
in T-cells and the surgical management of
heptocellular carcinoma.
