You should not use this medicine if you have had an allergic reaction to aminocaproic acid. In some cases, you should not use this medicine if you have a blood clotting problem called disseminated intravascular coagulation (DIC).
Make sure your doctor knows if you are pregnant or breast feeding, or if you have hemophilia, anemia, or other problems with your blood. Tell your doctor if you have a history of heart disease, liver disease, or kidney disease. This medicine contains benzyl alcohol (as a preservative) and should not be given to a baby.
Your doctor will need to check your blood at regular visits while you are using this medicine. Be sure to keep all appointments.
