Ask your doctor or pharmacist before using any other medicine, including over-the-counter medicines, vitamins, and herbal products.
Make sure your doctor knows if you are using aminoglycoside antibiotics (such as amikacin, gentamicin, streptomycin, Amikin®, or Garamycin®), doxycycline, minocycline, tetracycline, Minocin®, or Vibramycin®. Tell your doctor if you are using bacitracin, clindamycin, colistin, lincomycin, polymyxins, or sodium colistemethate.
Make sure your doctor knows if you are using medicine for heart rhythm problems such as procainamide (Procanbid®), or quinidine (Quinidex®). Tell your doctor if you are also using lithium, magnesium, or anesthetics (numbing medicine).
Make sure your doctor knows if you are using medicine for seizures such as carbamazepine (Tegretol®) or phenytoin (Dilantin®).
