Treats many conditions of the stomach, kidneys, and the bladder. Used in anesthesia during surgery. May be used as part of test to help your doctor see your kidneys better with an x-ray or other machine.
You should not receive this medicine if you have had an allergic reaction to hyoscyamine sulfate. You should not receive this medicine if you have glaucoma, problems with urination, disease of intestines such as ulcerative colitis, myasthenia gravis, severe heart disease or have had severe blood loss.
Ask your doctor or pharmacist before using any other medicine, including over-the-counter medicines, vitamins, and herbal products.
Make sure your doctor knows if you are using medicines such as amantadine, haloperidol (Haldol®, Clozaril®), MAO inhibitors (Eldepryl®, Marplan®, or Nardil®), phenothiazines (Prochloroperazine®, Compazine®, or Phenergan®), tricyclic antidepressants (amitriptyline or Norpramin®), antimuscarinics (Bentyl®, or Robinul®) or medicine for allergy.
