Diagnosis is made by ruling out other causes. Tests include:
- Bladder biopsy
- Cystoscopy (endoscopy of bladder)
- Urine analysis
- Urine culture
- Urine cytology
- Video urodynamics (shows how much urine must be in the bladder before you feel the need to urinate)
