Hookworm - Symptom
Symptoms:
- Itchy rash
- Cough
- Fever
- Bloody sputum
- Loss of appetite
- Nausea, vomiting
- Diarrhea
- Abdominal discomfort
- Increased gas production
- Pallor
- Fatigue
- Eggs and blood in the stool
Signs and tests:
- A stool ova and parasites exam will demonstrate the infection.
- This disease may also alter the results of a D-xylose absorption test.
