Symptoms:
- Excessive tearing
- Eye irritation
- Redness
- Eye discomfort or pain
- Decreased vision if the cornea is damaged
Signs and tests:
A physical examination of the eyes and eyelids confirms the diagnosis. Special tests are usually not necessary.
