Prevention:

Prevention includes following lifestyle changes that reduce your risk for atherosclerotic disease. This includes:

  • Exercise
  • Follow a healthy diet
  • Keep your blood pressure under control
  • Stop smoking

To prevent acute mesenteric artery ischemia, also control any heart rhythm problems.
