Definition of Varnish:

Varnish is a clear liquid coating. Varnish poisoning occurs when someone swallows varnish.

Resin part:

  • Rosin
  • Various substances produced from plants and insects (such as lac, urethanes)

Solvent part:

  • Ethanol
  • Mineral spirits
  • Turpentine
