Risks:

Risks for any anesthesia include the following:

  • Reactions to medications
  • Problems breathing

Risks for any surgery include the following:

  • Bleeding
  • Infection

Additional risks for this surgery include the following:

  • Death of the replanted tissue
  • Reduced nerve or movement function in the replanted digit
  • Stiffness of the fingers
