Greater-than-normal levels (a "positive" result) may indicate:

Skeletal muscle ischemia (blood deficiency)
Skeletal muscle trauma
Skeletal muscle inflammation (myositis)
Heart attack
Muscular dystrophy
Rhabdomyolysis
Malignant hyperthermia (very rare)
