The division of general otorhinolaryngology focuses on state-of-the-art treatment of a wide variety of diseases of the head and neck including: head and neck cancerous and noncancerous tumors, sinus and allergic disease, thyroid and parathyroid surgery, snoring and sleep apnea, and pediatric ear, nose and throat (ENT) disorders. The division is led by the co-directors of general otorhinolaryngology, Drs. Rodney Taylor and Jeffrey Wolf.
Patients are seen in the ENT office at 16 South Eutaw St. (one block east of the University of Maryland Medical Center) and surgical procedures are performed at the UM Medical Center. There is a satellite office at Kernan Hospital. The division's goals include full service care, ease of access, comprehensive "state-of-the-art" treatments, and effective communication with referring physicians.

The division utilizes the newest technologies in otorhinolaryngology, including pillar implants for snoring, image-guided sinus surgery, and intraoperative nerve monitoring for complex head and neck surgery.
Both Drs. Wolf and Taylor both have active research careers and it is the hope of the division to incorporate cutting-edge research into daily clinical care.
