Prevención:

  • Evite en lo posible provocar a los insectos.
  • Evite los movimientos rápidos y bruscos cerca de colmenas o nidos de insectos.
  • Evite usar perfumes y ropa con figuras florales o de color oscuro.
  • Utilice los repelentes para insectos apropiados y ropa protectora.
  • Sea cauteloso al comer en espacios abiertos, en especial con las bebidas azucaradas o en áreas alrededor de colectores de basura que a menudo atraen a las abejas.
  • Para aquellas personas que tienen alergias serias a picaduras o mordeduras de insectos, llevar consigo un botiquín de emergencia de epinefrina (que requiere receta médica). A los amigos y familiares se les debe enseñar a utilizarlo en caso de que usted tenga una reacción. Igualmente, lleve puesto un brazalete de identificación médica.
