Si la persona tiende a sentir dolor y presión al volar, debe beber mucho lÃquido antes y durante el vuelo. Asimismo, se debe evitar el consumo de alcohol, cafeÃna o tabaco el dÃa del vuelo. Se aconseja masticar goma de mascar, chupar un caramelo duro o bostezar durante el decolaje y el aterrizaje del avión. Igualmente, se puede consultar con el médico la posibilidad de tomar un descongestionante o utilizar un aerosol nasal antes de volar.
