Prevención:

1. Usar siempre asientos de automóvil para niños o cinturones de seguridad en un vehículo.

2. Usar casco al montar en bicicleta, patinar, escalar o practicar deportes de contacto.

3. Usar el equipo diseñado específicamente para el tipo de deporte o recreación en la que se participe.

4. Prestar supervisión apropiada a los niños de cualquier edad.

5. No permitir a los niños montar en bicicleta o patinar en la noche.

6. Proveer ropa fácilmente visible.

7. Enseñar a los niños a obedecer los reglamentos y señales de tránsito.

8. Educar a los individuos sobre los riesgos de los diversos oficios y actividades recreacionales o deportivas, y sobre cómo evitar las lesiones.
