Primeros auxilios:

  1. Dar seguridad al paciente y tratar de mantenerlo calmado.
  2. Mantener al paciente respirando por la boca y sentado, inclinado hacia adelante, para no permitir que la sangre baje por la parte posterior de la garganta.
  3. Aplicar compresas frías sobre la nariz para reducir la hinchazón. Si es posible, el paciente debe sostener la compresa de tal manera que no se aplique una presión excesiva.
  4. Para ayudar a calmar el dolor, se recomienda el acetaminofeno (paracetamol).
