Los sÃntomas varÃan de acuerdo con la causa del problema, pero algunos de ellos son totalmente comunes a todos los tipos de obstrucción.
El examen fÃsico puede revelar la disminución de los  sonidos respiratorios . Los exámenes generalmente son innecesarios, pero se pueden realizar los siguientes: radiografÃas, broncoscopia y laringoscopia.
