Tuberculosis pulmonar

SÃntomas:
- Si aparecen, se limitan a una tos mÃnima y una fiebre leve
- Fatiga
- Pérdida involuntaria de peso
- Tos sanguinolenta
- Fiebre y sudoración nocturna
- Tos que produce flema
Los sÃntomas adicionales que pueden estar asociados con la enfermedad son:
- Sibilancias
- Sudoración excesiva, especialmente en la noche
- Dolor en el pecho
- Dificultad respiratoria
Signos y exámenes:
El examen de pulmón con el estetoscopio puede revelar crepitaciones (sonidos respiratorios inusuales). Se puede presentar agrandamiento o sensibilidad de los ganglios linfáticos en el cuello u otras áreas. Se puede detectar lÃquido alrededor del pulmón y se pueden presentar dedos hipocráticos en manos y pies.
Los exámenes pueden ser:
- RadiografÃa de tórax
- Cultivos de esputo
- Prueba cutánea de tuberculina
- Broncoscopia
- Toracocentesis
- TC de tórax
- Prueba de sangre con interferón gamma, como la prueba QFT-Gold
- Biopsia del tejido afectado (poco común)
