La mayoría de los pacientes con neumonía por micoplasma o Chlamydophila tienen un buen pronóstico con la terapia antibiótica apropiada. La neumonía por legionela puede ser grave, lo que lleva a que se presenten problemas como insuficiencia renal, diabetes, EPOC, debilitamiento del sistema inmunitario y muerte.
