Nota: generalmente no se prescriben tetraciclina ni doxiciclina por vía oral a los niños, hasta que todos los dientes permanentes hayan comenzado a crecer, o a las mujeres embarazadas. El medicamento puede decolorar de manera permanente los dientes que aún se están formando.
Se espera la recuperación completa.
