Es un cáncer que comienza en alguna parte del cuerpo y se disemina a los pulmones.

Los tumores metastásicos a los pulmones son tumores malignos (cánceres) que se desarrollan en otros sitios y se propagan a través del torrente sanguíneo a los pulmones. Los tumores más comunes que se extienden por metástasis a los pulmones son, entre otros: cáncer de mama , cáncer de colon , cáncer de próstata , sarcoma, cáncer vesical , neuroblastoma y tumor de Wilms . Sin embargo, casi cualquier tipo de cáncer tiene la capacidad de diseminarse a los pulmones.
