Síndrome de dificultad respiratoria aguda - Symptom

Síntomas:

  • Respiración rápida y difícil
  • Presión arterial baja e insuficiencia orgánica
  • Dificultad para respirar

Los síntomas generalmente se desarrollan dentro de las 24 a 48 horas posteriores a la lesión o enfermedad original. A menudo, las personas con SDRA están tan enfermas que no son capaces de quejarse de los síntomas.

Signos y exámenes:

Escuchar el tórax con un estetoscopio ( auscultación) revela ruidos respiratorios anormales, como crepitaciones que sugieren la presencia de líquido en los pulmones. A menudo, la presión arterial está baja y con frecuencia se observa cianosis (coloración azulada de la piel, los labios y las uñas, causada por la falta de oxígeno a los tejidos).

Los exámenes empleados en el diagnóstico del SDRA abarcan:

Ocasionalmente, puede ser necesario efectuar una ecocardiografía o un cateterismo de Swan-Ganz para descartar insuficiencia cardíaca congestiva, que puede tener una apariencia similar al SDRA en una radiografía de tórax.
