Un buen lavado de manos es una de las mejores formas de evitar el contagio con el virus y otras infecciones respiratorias.

Debido a que se ha demostrado que los virus de la influenza son una causa importante de bronquitis, vacunarse contra esta enfermedad puede también ayudar a prevenir la bronquitis aguda.

Se recomienda limitar la exposición a los ambientes fríos y húmedos. Cuando se combinan con la contaminación del aire y el humo del tabaco, el frío y la humedad pueden incrementar la probabilidad de que una persona contraiga bronquitis.
