Derrame pleural tuberculoso - Symptom

El líquido se puede extraer del espacio pleural con una aguja, lo cual se denomina toracocentesis. Sin embargo, en la mayoría de los casos, la bacteria de la tuberculosis no se puede encontrar en el líquido, examinándolo bajo un microscopio o tratando de cultivar la bacteria en el laboratorio a partir de una muestra de líquido pleural (cultivo).

La mejor manera para hacer el diagnóstico es obtener una muestra del revestimiento del pulmón (tejido pleural) por medio de una biopsia, con lo cual es más probable que se revele el microorganismo patógeno a través de un cultivo o examinándola bajo un microscopio.

Se le agregan tintes especiales a la muestra para ver la bacteria bajo el microscopio. El microorganismo absorbe el tinte y luego aparece coloreado al observarse bajo un microscopio.
