Aspergiloma pulmonar - Overview

Definición:

Es una masa causada por una infección micótica que crece generalmente en las cavidades pulmonares. También pueden aparecer en el cerebro, el riñón u otros órganos.

Causas, incidencia y factores de riesgo:

Los aspergilomas se forman cuando el hongo Aspergillus crece como una masa en una cavidad pulmonar o invade tejido previamente sano, lo que causa un absceso.

El Aspergillus es un hongo común que crece en hojas muertas, granos almacenados, estiércol de aves, fertilizantes u otra vegetación descompuesta. Las cavidades en el pulmón pueden haber sido causadas por:
