Enfermedad pulmonar intersticial difusa - Symptom

Síntomas:

La dificultad respiratoria es un síntoma clave de enfermedad pulmonar intersticial. Las personas pueden respirar más rápido o necesitan tomar respiraciones más profundas:

  • Al principio, la dificultad para respirar no es severa y usted puede notarla sólo con el ejercicio, subiendo escalas y otras actividades esforzadas.
  • Con el tiempo, usted puede notarla mientras se está bañando o vistiendo y luego mientras está comiendo o hablando.

La mayoría de las personas con esta afección también tienen una tos seca, lo cual significa que usted no expectora ninguna mucosidad ni esputo.

Con el tiempo, también se presenta pérdida de peso, dolor articular y muscular y fatiga.

Las personas con enfermedad pulmonar intersticial idiopática avanzada pueden tener:

  • Agrandamiento anormal de la base de las uñas de los dedos de las manos (dedos hipocráticos)
  • Color azulado de labios, piel y uñas debido a los bajos niveles de oxígeno en la sangre (cianosis)

Signos y exámenes:

El médico llevará a cabo un examen físico. Se pueden escuchar ruidos respiratorios secos y crepitantes al auscultar el tórax con un estetoscopio. El médico también puede notar aleteo nasal.
