Neumonitis química - Tratamiento

Tratamiento:

El tratamiento se centra en la reducción de los síntomas. La terapia con oxígeno puede ser útil y se pueden suministrar corticoesteroides para reducir la inflamación.

Expectativas (pronóstico):

El resultado depende del agente químico involucrado, la severidad de la exposición y si el problema es agudo o crónico.

Complicaciones:

Puede presentarse insuficiencia respiratoria y la muerte.

Situaciones que requieren asistencia médica:

Se debe buscar asistencia médica si se presenta dificultad respiratoria después de la inhalación (o posible inhalación) de cualquier sustancia.
