Tratamiento:

El tratamiento depende de la causa de la presión arterial baja, la cual debe tratarse para mantener estable el suministro de sangre al hígado.

Expectativas (pronóstico):

Si se puede tratar la enfermedad subyacente, generalmente los pacientes se recuperan y, rara vez, se presenta la muerte debido a insuficiencia hepática como resultado de una isquemia hepática.

Complicaciones:

La insuficiencia hepática puede ser una complicación rara pero posible que puede causar la muerte.

Situaciones que requieren asistencia médica:

Se debe visitar al médico urgentemente si se presenta debilidad persistente o signos de shock o deshidratación.
