Colestasis intrahepática; Colestasis extrahepática
Se debe tratar la causa subyacente de la colestasis.
El pronóstico de la persona depende de la enfermedad que cause la afección. Los cálculos en el conducto colédoco generalmente se pueden extraer, lo que cura la colestasis.
