Síntomas:

La hepatitis D puede incrementar la gravedad de los síntomas asociados con todas las formas de hepatitis B.

Los síntomas pueden abarcar:

• Ictericia
• Náuseas
• Vómitos
• Fatiga
• Dolor abdominal
• Pérdida del apetito
• Dolor articular
• Orina de color oscuro

Signos y exámenes:

• Las enzimas hepáticas están más altas de lo normal
• El anticuerpo antiagente delta es positivo para el VHD
• Una biopsia hepática muestra inflamación del hígado (hepatitis)
