Hepatitis crónica persistente

Definición:

Es una inflamación hepática leve (irritación e hinchazón) que puede ser causada por diversos virus y padecimientos.

Causas, incidencia y factores de riesgo:

La hepatitis crónica persistente puede ser causada por hepatitis B ( VHB ), hepatitis C ( VHC ), hepatitis D (VHD), enfermedades autoinmunes como el lupus , diversos medicamentos o una causa desconocida (criptogénica). La mayoría de las personas no tienen síntomas.
