Gastritis por estrés
Definición:
Es la inflamación súbita del revestimiento del estómago. Esta afección también causa úlceras y sangrado y se puede presentar después de quemaduras, shock , trauma o enfermedad severa.
A diferencia de la úlcera péptica tÃpica, las úlceras gastroduodenales agudas se pueden reconocer inicialmente por un sangrado gastrointestinal . El riesgo de estas úlceras o gastritis por estrés es altÃsimo en pacientes que estén utilizando un respirador artificial en una unidad de cuidados intensivos.
