Helicobacter pylori - Symptom

Gastritis por Helicobacter pylori; H. pylori

Síntomas:

Si usted es portador de H. pylori, es posible que no presente síntomas. Si tiene una úlcera o gastritis, puede experimentar algunos de los siguientes síntomas:

  • Dolor abdominal
  • Distensión y llenura
  • Dispepsia o indigestión
  • Sentir mucha hambre de 1 a 3 horas después de comer
  • Náuseas leves (que se pueden aliviar al vomitar)

Pruebas y exámenes:

Pruebas simples de sangre, del aliento y los exámenes coprológicos pueden determinar si usted está infectado con H. pylori. Si tiene síntomas, el médico determinará si se le deben hacer estas pruebas de detección.

La forma más precisa de diagnosticar H. pylori es a través de una endoscopia digestiva alta del esófago, el estómago y el duodeno. Dado que este procedimiento es invasivo, generalmente sólo se hace en personas sospechosas de tener una úlcera o en alto riesgo de padecer úlceras u otras complicaciones por H. pylori, como cáncer del estómago.
