Angiodisplasia del colon

SÃntomas:
Los sÃntomas varÃan. A menudo, en las personas de edad, los sÃntomas son anemia, debilidad, fatiga y dificultad respiratoria. Es probable que no haya signos de sangrado directamente del colon. Otras personas pueden presentar episodios de sangrado severos o leves con presencia de sangre roja brillante procedente del recto.
Algunos pacientes pueden presentar heces negras y pegajosas. No hay dolor asociado con la angiodisplasia.
Signos y exámenes:
Los exámenes que se pueden llevar a cabo para diagnosticar esta afección abarcan:
- AngiografÃa (es útil sólo si hay un sangrado activo dentro del colon)
- CSC
- Colonoscopia
- Guayacol en heces (un resultado positivo sugiere la presencia de sangre del colon)
