Obstrucción intestinal

Cuando se ausculta el abdomen con un estetoscopio se escucha un tono alto de los ruidos intestinales al iniciarse la obstrucción mecánica. Si la obstrucción persiste por largo tiempo o si el intestino está muy lesionado, los ruidos intestinales disminuyen hasta desaparecer. En el caso de íleo paralítico, el ruido intestinal inicialmente disminuye o está ausente.
