Obstrucción intestinal

Síntomas:

• Sensación de saciedad, gases
• Distensión abdominal
• Dolor abdominal y calambres
• Vómito
• Dificultad para evacuar los gases o las heces ( estreñimiento )
• Diarrea
• Mal aliento

Signos y exámenes:

Cuando se ausculta el abdomen con un estetoscopio se escucha un tono alto de los ruidos intestinales al iniciarse la obstrucción mecánica. Si la obstrucción persiste por largo tiempo o si el intestino está muy lesionado, los ruidos intestinales disminuyen hasta desaparecer. En el caso de íleo paralítico, el ruido intestinal inicialmente disminuye o está ausente.

Entre los exámenes que muestran la obstrucción están:

• Enema de bario
• Series del tracto GI superior y del intestino delgado
• Película abdominal
• TC abdominal
