- Regurgitación (reflujo) de alimento
- Dolor en el pecho que puede irradiarse a la espalda, cuello y brazos e incrementarse después de comer
- Pérdida de peso involuntaria
- Acidez
- Tos
Signos y exámenes:
Un examen radiográfico del tracto GI superior o una esofagografÃa con bario puede mostrar ausencia de peristalsis, un esófago agrandado y un estrechamiento en la parte baja del esófago. El diagnóstico se confirma por medio de una manometrÃa esofágica y el examen fÃsico puede mostrar signos de anemia.
