Várices esofágicas sangrantes - Prevención

Prevención:

El sangrado se puede prevenir con el tratamiento de la enfermedad hepática. Asimismo, el tratamiento preventivo de las várices con medicamentos, tales como los betabloqueadores o con ligadura endoscópica con bandas elásticas, puede ayudar a prevenir el sangrado. Se debe considerar la conveniencia de realizar un trasplante de hígado para algunos pacientes.
