Absceso pancreático

Tratamiento:

Es posible que se deba realizar un drenaje percutáneo (a través de la piel) del absceso y que se necesite una laparotomía con drenaje y probablemente resección quirúrgica de los tejidos muertos.

Expectativas (pronóstico):

El resultado está relacionado con la gravedad de la infección y la tasa de mortalidad de los abscesos pancreáticos que no se han drenado es muy alta.

Se debe buscar asistencia médica si hay dolor abdominal persistente con fiebre u otros signos de absceso pancreático, especialmente si la persona ha tenido recientemente un seudoquiste pancreático o pancreatitis.
