Prevención:

La prevención y el tratamiento de la hepatitis viral pueden ayudar a la reducción de los riesgos. La vacuna en la infancia contra la hepatitis B puede reducir el riesgo de cáncer del hígado en el futuro.

Evite tomar cantidades excesivas de alcohol. A ciertos pacientes les puede ayudar una prueba de detección para hemocromatosis.
