Hipertiroidismo provocado - Symptom

Síntomas:

Los síntomas del hipotiroidismo provocado son los mismos del hipertiroidismo ocasionado por la glándula tiroides, salvo en estos casos:

Ausencia de bocio. La glándula tiroides es usualmente pequeña.
Los ojos no protruyen como lo hacen en la enfermedad de Graves (el tipo más común de hipertiroidismo).
No se presenta engrosamiento de la piel sobre las espinillas como sucede ocasionalmente con las personas que padecen la enfermedad de Graves.

Signos y exámenes:

Los siguientes resultados de exámenes pueden indicar hipertiroidismo provocado:

Niveles altos de T4 libre
Niveles altos de T3 total
Niveles altos de T4 total
Captación de yodo radiactivo baja
Niveles bajos de tiroglobulina
Niveles bajos de hormona estimulante de la tiroides
