Síndrome de secreción inadecuada de hormona antidiurética (SIHAD); Síndrome de secreción inadecuada de vasopresina
La liberación anormal de la hormona antidiurética dificulta la capacidad del cuerpo para eliminar agua, ocasionando acumulación de líquido en el mismo. Igualmente, se pueden presentar bajos niveles de sodio en la sangre (hiponatremia).
Con frecuencia, no hay ningún síntoma a causa de los bajos niveles de sodio; sin embargo, se pueden presentar cambios en el estado mental o incluso convulsiones.
