Prevención:

Realizarle pruebas de detección a los miembros de la familia de la persona a la cual se le ha diagnosticado hemocromatosis puede ayudar para descubrir la enfermedad en forma temprana, de tal manera que se puede iniciar el tratamiento antes de que se produzca daño a los órganos en otros familiares afectados.
