Acidosis metabólica - Tratamiento

Tratamiento:

El tratamiento está orientado a la condición subyacente. En ciertas circunstancias, se puede administrar bicarbonato de sodio (soda para hornear) para mejorar la acidez de la sangre.

Expectativas (pronóstico):

El pronóstico depende de la enfermedad subyacente.

Complicaciones:

Cuando la acidosis metabólica es muy grave puede llevar a que se presente shock o la muerte.

Situaciones que requieren asistencia médica:

Se debe buscar tratamiento médico si se presentan síntomas de cualquier enfermedad que ocasione la aparición de la acidosis metabólica.
