Prevención:

El consumo de una dieta rica en tiamina y otras vitaminas para previene el beriberi. Las madres lactantes deben asegurarse de que su dieta tenga un contenido adecuado de todas las vitaminas y que las fórmulas o leches maternizadas para bebés contengan tiamina.
